Travel

I am a Singaporean Traveller, although I do not travel to a lot of country due to personal preferences and financial, but trust me, I am someone who travel overseas without travel agent, but free and easy.

Personally, I love travelling to any destination that have a lot of traditional food, or street food, other words are non-fast food or too much expensive food, as I do not think expensive means that the food are very tasty or good, it still depends on the company's belief on how to get the original taste of the food.

Usually I would look for food with affordable or reasonable prices before deciding to travel to this destination.

Malaysia prices have risen sharply in recent years, although the exchange rate between Singapore and Malaysia has already improved, so prices are almost the same without much difference.

The only difference is that the prices of food on the street are very similar to those in restaurants.

However, to make the difference, these are the stores that I recommend as shown below:

THAILAND

Thailand is a Southeast Asian country. It is known for tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples with Buddha figures. In Bangkok, the capital, an ultra-modern cityscape rises alongside tranquil canal settlements and the iconic temples of Wat Arun, Wat Pho and the Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew). Nearby beach resorts include bustling Pattaya and sophisticated Hua Hin.

Thailand is known for being a very cheap place to live. You can get a filling meal for as little as $1 or $2. That's why I love it so much, because the food we eat there is mostly fresh and not factory processed.

In Thailand, almost everywhere you can find any markets, coffeeshop or food court area, even in the middle of the road, you can easily grabs your meals at very reasonable, affordable pricing food that we can get anytime. No need to worry that we would be hungry or not unable get any food. it is also a good place for retirement or long break if you wanted to.

Screenshot 2022-11-18 210024.png

Because of affordable prices all over the country, it is a shopping and food paradise, 7-Eleven is also one of everyone love, as their food products prices are not expensive yet, we can easily get all household, electronics products at good prices and most importantly, the number of 7-Eleven around are almost everywhere & 24/7 hours availability.

Apart from that, fast food like Macdonald & KFC are a good choice in Thailand as it is affordable and interesting.

Screenshot 2022-11-18 205154.png
Screenshot 2022-11-18 204923.png

What is so interesting about Macdonald, in all Asian countries, only Thailand is non-halal, pork burgers are available. Having tried it in Thailand, it is really impressive and affordable, just 2/3 cheaper than our usual prices.

Same with KFC, with the price I spend in Singapore for one big mashed potato, I can easily buy 3 big mashed potato in Thailand. it's also much nicer for the meat sets. Give it a try when you travel there.

While their golden years may be over in the West, arcades are still very popular in Japan. From multi-story complexes in busy city centers to one-room buildings in small towns, arcades are everywhere.

Space is limited in many Japanese apartments and houses, so a game played standing up or sitting down and immersed in the action is more feasible in an arcade.

Snowing

The traditional snow season in Japan coincides with the onset of winter, so you can expect snow from mid-December. The snow season lasts about three months, but can often extend into March and early April, so there is plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful white landscapes of this country.

However, if you visit Japan at the right time, you may be lucky enough to see snow outside of the snow season.

KOREA

South Korea, an East Asian nation on the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, has one of the most militarized borders in the world with North Korea. It's equally known for its green, hilly countryside with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples, as well as for its coastal fishing villages, subtropical islands, and high-tech cities like the capital, Seoul.

The only difference is that I feel that the chances of getting the toy from the vending machine are much better compared to other countries. Maybe because I'm not a professional catcher and I'm more comfortable with this normal catching claw.

Soondae is one of the most popular Korean street foods, found at almost every street stall and pojangmacha. But do not think of it as sausage or salami - soondae is a blood sausage made from beef or pork intestines stuffed with pig's blood and a combination of glass noodles, glutinous rice and vegetables.

Spicy rice cake, also known as teokbokki or spicy rice cake. Tteokbokki is a spicy Korean rice cake that is cylindrical in shape and cooked in a spicy sauce, and when we say spicy, Koreans are pretty serious about it.

Walking through the major streets of Seoul and other big cities, you can easily find Korean street vendors selling tteokbokki. However, if you are up for an adventure, you can visit Tteokbokki Town in Sindang for the best tteokbokki in South Korea.

Korean fish cakes have always been the favorite food of South Koreans and in different parts of the world.

Traditionally, fish cakes are dipped in a salty soy sauce with green onions and sesame oil. This is often the cheapest Korean street food you can find on the street, and the price varies depending on the size of the skewers.

The term 오뎅 odeng comes from the Japanese word oden, which refers to a type of stew that often includes fish cakes. Since Koreans gained their independence, the native word 어묵 eomuk is more commonly used, and it usually refers to the round and doughy type of fish cake, which is the more popular of the two varieties.
